Fall Boho Intimate Destination Wedding at Loloma Lodge in McKenzie, Oregon

Fall is a truly magical time to have a wedding at Loloma Lodge. This venue offers breathtaking scenery year-round, but fall is when it truly shines. The forest transforms into a cozy, romantic backdrop, creating scenary that’s both intimate and visually stunning. I especially love the cozy, moody aesthetic the season brings to a wedding day. And with the added bonus of being able to camp out with family and friends for the entire weekend? Count me in! Fun fact, this wedding was featured in Boho Weddings, so go check it out!

Why the couple chose Loloma Lodge

Kim and Pete are Midwest natives who made the trip out to Central Oregon for their intimate destination wedding, and choosing Loloma Lodge was a no-brainer. These two didn’t let a little rain get in the way of their day. They had planned to say their vows outside, but when the weather shifted, Loloma Lodge was quick to pivot and move the ceremony indoors. It was actually a first for me, and honestly, it made the whole day feel even more intimate. They wanted all of their guests to really experience all that the Pacific Northwest has to offer, and Loloma Lodge checked all of those boxes.

With adventurous spirits and a love for the outdoors, discovering that the epic Sahalie Falls was just 20 minutes from the venue sealed the deal. They knew right away they had to work it into their wedding day plans. As a wedding photographer, there’s nothing I love more than weaving a picturesque adventure into the timeline. It adds such a unique and scenic layer to the couple’s story. So, right after Kim and Pete said “I do,” we hit the road and made our way to Sahalie Falls. It absolutely delivered.

The vibe of their day

Kim and Pete are nature lovers through and through, and the outdoors is an important part of their everyday life. So it was only fitting that their wedding reflected that connection in thoughtful and personal ways. Loloma Lodge, with its laid-back and elevated camping feel, set the perfect tone for the celebration. Surrounded by trees and the McKenzie River, the setting offered the scenic backdrop that brought their vision to life.

They leaned into the outdoorsy vibe with picnic tables for dining and custom state park-style table markers for guest seating. Muted earth tones were used throughout the decor, creating a warm, relaxed atmosphere that matched the fall season and the natural surroundings. Their boho-inspired style showed up in the details too, from the bride’s cowboy boots to the pampas grass florals.

Every part of the day felt true to who they are as a couple. It was a celebration that blended their love for each other with their love for nature in a way that felt genuine, relaxed, and beautifully personal.

Thank you to all the vendors that made this day an absolute dream! As with all weddings, it takes a village and this was an incredible one.
