Maysara Winery Willamette Valley Wedding

When Ajay & Lindsay told me that their wedding would be at Maysara Winery, I may have actually squealed. As you will see, this venue is BREATHTAKING. It has been on my photographer’s bucket list for some time now, and it most definitely did not disappoint! During their search, Lindsay and Ajay looked at other venues in Oregon wine country and found themselves not able to forget the way Maysara Winery made them feel. It just felt right! As I always do the first time I photograph at a venue, I familiarized myself with the grounds before the wedding. I was in such awe of the architecture and the feeling of being in Italy, not Oregon. It’s fair to say that this is now one of my top favorite venues!

Wedding venue aside, Lindsay (who spells her name the way that I do- a rarity!) & Ajay are such a fun, laid back, AMAZING couple. After their engagement session in the Columbia River Gorge last summer, I couldn’t wait for their wedding. I knew it would be full of laughter (as you can tell by the photos, Ajay is quite funny), and Lindsay is his perfect match. Getting to spend time with these two over the last year and a half has been really enjoyable, and it was so great to meet their wonderful friends and family. Lindsay put so much effort into this day and it was evident. I feel so honored to have been a part of their wedding.

While Lindsay’s exceptional planning and organizing skills were a huge part of this day coming to fruition, it takes a village. The vendor team behind Lindsay & Ajay’s wedding was nothing short of fantastic. As a photographer, I want to give a big thank you to Hanna at Maysara Winery for escorting us around the vineyard at sunset. There are 532 acres of vineyard at Maysara, and her efforts resulted in some pretty epic sunset photos! Thank you so much! Please see the list below for the other vendors who participated.

Congrats Ajay & Lindsay! I am so excited about your future as husband and wife!

Mt. Hood Organic Farms Wedding

I can’t say enough about how amazing a day at Mt. Hood Organic Farms is! When I first meet L & E, I knew that their wedding day would be filled with so much laughter. One of my favorite things about being a wedding photographer is getting to know my couples through the process of photographing engagement sessions and planning along with them their wedding day photography.

When you have your engagement photos taken (and I highly recommend you do), you quickly learn that it is a bonding experience between you and your photographer. You are both getting to know each other and start to become comfortable with each other.  I love the feeling of walking into the wedding day feeling more like a friend than a vendor. This mutual feeling will also show in your face through your photos.  L & E were no exception  and I was so excited and honored to be a part of their day. It is so obvious that these two are loved by so many. As with any wedding I photograph, I am genuinely a little sad when it is over because I look forward to these weddings from the time they are booked. Both E & L were so much fun to work with through this entire experience!

In addition, Mt. Hood Organic Farms was the PERFECT  venue choice for their celebration! This place quickly become one of my favorite venues to photograph, and the staff there is nothing short of outstanding.  The unobstructed view of Mt. Hood is absolutely stunning. A big thank you to the vendors that made this day as perfect as it was! Please see the list below for vendor information, I highly recommend each and every person on this list! Congrats to L&E!

Haleakala Crater Sunrise Hawaiian Elopement

I met Ryan and Lauren when I photographed them at their couple’s session at Cape Kiwanda on the Oregon coast, I had no idea at the time that I would be going to Haleakala to photograph their elopement. To say I loved these two the minute I met them would be a complete understatement. After grabbing a drink with them before we started shooting, they told me all about their love story and their plans for the future. I left that day with two new friends!

Fast forward to last July. While out shopping for my daughter’s ballet attire, I get a phone call from Lauren with BIG news. Her and Ryan are getting married!  They wanted me to accompany them to Haleakala National Park in Maui to photograph it! As you could imagine, I did not hesitate in saying yes. Even though it meant photographing weddings the weekend before, flying to Hawaii for two days mid week, then coming back to photograph more weddings in Portland directly after. I couldn’t have been more excited to share this EPIC experience with these two.

On August 15th, we made the trek to the top of Haleakala Crater for a sunrise elopement. It was one of the most beautiful sights I have ever witnessed, and one of the most emotional ceremonies I have ever photographed. I don’t think there was a dry eye between the three of us when these two said their vows. I am so incredibily stoked for these two amazing human beings. Congrats to Ryan & Lauren!!!

Domaine de Broglie Willamette Valley Oregon Vineyard Wedding

When Jackie & Michael told me they would be married at Domaine de Broglie (previously Vista Hills Vineyard), it made complete sense! These two love wine, and the scenery at Domaine de Broglie is a perfect match for the vision of their day. Watching two best friends marry is one of my favorite parts of photographing weddings. And after photographing Jackie and Michael’s out of town engagement session in their home town of Kirkland, Washington, I knew their wedding day would be as amazing as the two of them.

Nestled in the heart of Oregon’s Willamette Valley wine country, Domaine de Broglie, provides the PERFECT back drop for your wedding day. Sweeping views of vineyards, the Willamette River valley, and a beautiful tree house and back patio to host a photo-worthy reception. This is why Domaine de Broglie has quickly become one of my favorite places to photograph weddings! Jackie and Michael opted to get ready at Red Hills Market Loft’s down the street, and I would highly recommend this as a great place to stay for the night and get ready at.

Family visited from all over the county to attend this gorgeous wedding. The vibe of the day was incredibly laid back, yet romantic and elegant. Even with a venue as amazing at Domaine de Broglie, and a couple like Jackie & Michael, a wedding day will always be incredible with a team of vendors dedicated to providing the most excellent experience. A HUGE thank you to all the vendors listed below for making this beautiful day possible!

The Bindery Wedding McMinnville Oregon

When I was approached about photographing a beautiful and creatively styled inspirational Bindery wedding, I was so excited. One of my favorite things about industrial spaces, such as The Bindery Event Space, is having a blank slate to make your very own. I absolutely LOVE the vibe we created in this styled shoot.

The owner of this venue, has family roots in the newspaper printing industry. In fact, the family business previously resided in this very building! While the business has moved to another location, much of the venues industrial features reamain the same. Upon arriving to the Bindery Event Space, the first thing I noticed was the amazing concrete floors with cracked blue paint. As a photographer, details like this are a dream. It made the prefect back drop for photograping this details of the shoot. Also, tall windows all throughout the venue made for the best natural light for the ceremony and couple’s portraits.

Located in downtown McMinneville, right in the heart of Oregon Wine Country, this venue is the only industrail venue in the vicinity. I think this is going offer couples a fantastic alternative to a tranditional vineyard wedding.

As for the team on this shoot, I cannot give enough praise! The theme of the shoot was “Black and White, and Red all Over” as the goal was to incorporate the rich history of the building and its roots in the newspaper industry. From the unique red grooms suit and the brides detailed viel with black incorporated and minimalist props, I am so thrilled with how this theme was executed! Thanks to Peachy Keen for bringing every detail together. Her level of perfectionism is really displayed in this inspirational shoot. And thanks to all the vendors listed below! This could not have happened without your hard work.
